Why We Love it: Remember that episode of Seinfeld where George and Kramer are headed to the airport to pick up Jerry and Elaine, but in order to settle a previous bet, George must be be there on time to get credit for the pickup? If George only had an iPhone equipped with the Just Landed app! Just Landed is by far the most gorgeous iOS flight tracker app that I’ve come across with a nice color scheme and day and nighttime animations.
To use Just Landed you just enter the flight number and it will show you a list of flights using that number. Select the one relevant to you and it will show the current status of that flight. If you set up the flight number prior to take off, it will notify you once the flight has taken off, landed and if there are any delays. The most convenient feature is the pick up time indicator, which uses your current location and airport location to give you an idea on when you should leave for the airport. The app tells you driving time to the airport and the gate where your traveler will be arriving.
Just Landed is currently free in the Apple App Store and works on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0 or later. If you happen to arrive earlier than expect, you just might have time to stop by the duty free shop!
