Whenever you bring up Ridley Scott’s classic film ‘Alien,’ one scene tends to spring to mind immediately. Surely you remember it: the crew of the Nostromo gathers around the table for breakfast following a harrowing stopover on LV-421,only for Kane to have a baby alien burst out of his chest. It’s one of the most famous movie scenes of all time…and a new Android app will let you re-enact it yourself.
Once you’ve downloaded and installed the Chestburster app onto your Android device, there are two ways to create the illusion that an infant Xenomorph is clawing its way out of your body. You can buy a special t-shirt for $30 or you can print out the image at this link. Whatever you choose, the app will scan the image and use some pretty nifty augmented reality technology to complete the scene. Here’s a video fron Fingerfunk, the company behind the app:
