Hell has frozen over: MySpace is back from the dead and attempting a comeback. And we’re not talking about something half-baked either. If the announcement video is any indication, the completely redesigned social network is the real deal, a genuine competitor for Facebook and Google+. Gone are the cluttered and garish pages of old and in are some really modern and super slick choices that make Facebook’s increasingly unfriendly UI look bad. Well, MySpace: we’ll give you one more shot.

StearClear is an app that provides an obvious but helpful service: when you’re too drunk to drive home, you can request a driver to come take you and your vehicle home. Now that they’ve raised an additional $600,000 in funding, expect them to become a slightly bigger deal.

Dear Steve Wozniak: Apple Maps is a disaster. Please don’t condescend to your users by saying it’s not a big deal. At least Google seems to have a new maps app of their own ready to go…if only Apple will approve it. In addition to the Maps clustercuss, there is now “ScratchGate,” where early adopters are complaining about how easy the iPhone 5′s Aluminum back is scratching.
