The robot revolution begins here. It begins with a little robot named Romo. Think of Romo as the world’s most advanced iPhone dock: you plug your smartphone into a little base with treads and it becomes a borderline sentient creature, moving about, smiling its cute/creepy grin at you. Although an early version of Romo has been around for awhile, a second version is in the works (on Kickstarter, of course) and its creators say he could be the ultimate toy and the ultimate educational tool. Sure, it looks cool, but why aren’t we all a little more concerned? When we start developing the iTerminators, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Big words for a brand new app: Lightt claims that it’s going do for video what Instagram did for photography. In other words, expect to see a lot of shoddy amateur video covered in a sexy, golden/old-school glow within the next year.
