With “Bad Piggies,” which hits the various app stores today, Rovio is exploring a new corner of their Angry Birds playground…but will they find the same success? Sure, the Angry Birds games are some of the most successful apps to ever hit the mobile market, but can they grow their success beyond that world? Their “Amazing Alex” failed to live up to the hype and although “Bad Piggies” is a completely different game than Angry Birds, it’s still part of a tested and popular universe. What do you think? We’ll let you know once we get a chance to test drive it ourselves.
I don’t know you about you, but I’m perfectly content with how the address book works on my iPhone. Still, a new app called Ringya sure sounds cool. In addition to doing all of the things you’d expect from a smartphone address book system, it has a feature that makes it stand out. If you photograph handwritten or typed contacts, it will automatically upload them and sort them into your contacts. Now that’s cool.
