Why We Love it: Remember that episode of Seinfeld where George and Kramer are headed to the airport to pick up Jerry and Elaine, but in order to settle a previous bet, George must be be there on time to get credit for the pickup? If George only had an iPhone equipped with the Just Landed app! Just Landed is by far the most gorgeous iOS flight tracker app that I’ve come across with a nice color scheme and day and nighttime animations.

The Device: Anything iOS and Android

The Price: Free to download, but it requires the $10 a month Spotify plan

Why We Love It: A few months back, I sold off all of my physical CDs. I’d be lying if I said Spotify wasn’t a major influence on that decision. Although it’s available in a free, ad-supported version and a $5 monthly subscription that removes the ads, only the $10 monthly subscription gives you access to the Spotify app, giving you access to an insane library of music wherever you go.

The App: Bejeweled

The Device: iPhone

The Price: $0.99

Why We Love It: There’s a reason why Bejeweled has been downloaded 500 million times since the game’s initial creation in 2001. It’s one of the most addicting puzzle games ever made, a game that can be played anytime, anywhere. It’s the kind of game that can be played for thirty seconds or for an hour. It’s pretty much the perfect game for smartphones.
